Student Volunteering Week is underway across the UK.
Doing some volunteer work at university isn’t just about doing good for others – it will do some good for your CV as well. Organised by Volunteering England, Student Volunteering Week features volunteer fairs at universities across the UK where students can sign up for volunteering projects and find out more about how volunteering can build important employability skills like teamwork and communication to boost their career prospects. Plus, as well as talking about volunteering, you can also get a taste of what it’s really like by getting involved with local projects ranging from clearing up canals to teaching schoolchildren to build their own website.
