Get the right balance

Have you given any thought to how you will balance your MASH at university? And no we're not talking about potatoes, we're talking about your Money, Academic, Social and Health responsibilities.

You may feel like there’s a lot to think about when attending uni but most things can be gathered into four groups:

  • Money: Ensuring you don’t run out of it by examining your income from sources of student finance or part-time work and, expenses such as books and travel.
  • Academic: Looking at study skills and sources of support to help you stay on top of coursework.
  • Social: Making sure you reward yourself for all you hard work with some fun times.
  • Health: It’s important you don’t neglect yourself in the rush to get everything done. Spending time making sure you’re in good health will reward you not just at uni but in the long term too.

MASH is a much easier way to keep on top of things and it’s important you keep a tight rein on all four areas as they usually affect each other.
